About CREW Ministries
Mission Statement
CREW Ministries exists to share the saving love of God, through the perfect life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, with all people, especially youthful audiences. This takes action using music, humour, drama, and interactive relationships.
History
A group of four young men were brought together in 1988 to lead singing at the Lutheran Church-Canada Youth Gathering. The group was called The CREW, and they maintained a popular part-time ministry until 1992 when they went on the road full-time, sponsored by Concordia College (now Concordia University College of Alberta), Edmonton, AB. In September of 1993, The CREW ventured into independent full-time music ministry. Then in the spring of 1994, The CREW decided to return to part-time status, but established a board to pursue a new approach to continuing this unique music ministry. The interim board met, and in June 1994, CREW Ministries was born. Since that time, CREW Ministries has continued to provide a variety of full-time and part-time music ministry teams.
Membership
CREW Ministries operates as an independent Christian ministry organization. Although it operates in co-operation with Lutheran-Church Canada, it is administered by an independent Board of Directors. CREW Ministries’ office is located in Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada, and is operated by an office manager who answers to the CREW Ministries’ Board of Directors.
